Anytime I am in the region, I go out of my way to visit White Sands National Monument. These photos are from late December of 2014. We were on our way to the Sonoran Desert for the winter.

The White Sands National Monument is a U.S. National Monument located about 25 km southwest of Alamogordo in western Otero County and northeastern Doña Ana County in the state of New Mexico, at an elevation of 4235 feet.
