Lots of loons on the lake up in God’s Country of Minnesota this past week:

So beautiful and majestic:

So serene:

I’ve never seen more than two or three loons together:

A perfect focus was difficult: I hand-held a 400mm lens; the boat was moving,

the water was moving, and the loons were in constant action:

An added bonus: A bald eagle:

An immature bald eagle came in for a landing:

It takes about 5 years for the eagle’s head to turn white:
