A bit of both Heather. The birds are free. But they know there is food at the Sonoran Desert Museum. They came come and get it or not as they wish. They will soar around and come down to snatch the food and maybe stay for a few minutes. That’s when the cameras click. The biggest photo challenge is often getting a line of sight through the people waiting to see them.
How wonderful, Tom! I’m glad the birds are benefiting from the occasional free meal, and that humans are benefiting from seeing these majestic animals up close.
Did you capture these shots in the wild, Tom? They’re really impressive!
