Deliberate practice, by its nature, must be hard.
When you want to get good at something, how you spend your time practicing is far more important than the amount of time you spend. … Regular practice simply isn’t enough. To improve, we must watch ourselves fail, and learn from our mistakes.

According to this recipe, I should be really good at a few things… for I have surely watched myself fail — and learned from my mistakes (in many cases seemingly to enable myself to “fail” again! and again!) — in the process of living a relatively long life!!! I also love the definition of “success” as “getting up one more time than you fall (or that could be fail)”… In loving spirit, Eleanor
PS I seem to be back on the automatic mailing list… thanks for looking after that.
